We acquired this property at auction. While there were obvious cosmetic issues, we instantly saw the potential of this 1800’s farmhouse.

This house had only one bathroom on the first floor when we began our work, however we were able to add a half bathroom upstairs in what used to be a large linen closet. Retrofitting this linen closet proved to bring its challenges, but we felt it was well worth our efforts to provide the future owners a bathroom on the second floor where the two main bedrooms were.

The other unique challenge for this house was balancing the new with the old. We wanted to pay respect to its history while also giving it a fresh look. By refinishing the original tin ceilings, and wide plank floors we were able to keep the homes original charm. We enhanced that charm by painting the doors and kitchen cabinets with a dusty green, and installing thoughtful light fixtures throughout.

We truly enjoyed bringing this 1800’s farmhouse back to its full potential and hope we succeeded in created a beautiful space for a new family to call home.
